Confucianism
if i was walking through the hallway and found twenty bucks i would give it to the teacher in the closest room and tell them i found it and if anyone was looking for it, it was here. someone might say "no you wouldn't. you would keep it." to that i would say no. ever since my Ipod got "misplaced" i have gone out of my way to make sure that people don't lose things. for example, today, i say someone drop a pen so i picked it up and waded through the crowd and gave it back. some other person might say that Confucianism is about subordination and superiority you would give it to your parent. to that i would also say no. Confucianism is about respecting authority, not about giving your superior everything you find that has value.
Daoism
if i saw a twenty dollar bill in the hallway of Lincoln high school, i would pay no attention to is because i would look upon it as a piece of paper that i could do nothing with in the future. this is because money would imply that trade happened which would imply ownership which would imply a lack of daoism.
Legalism
if i see twenty buck in the hallway i would take it for myself. this is because in the practice of Legalism, people are selfish. i would take it and spend it of stuff for myself due to the fact that i am selfish.
Confucionism: if I found a twenty dollar bill, I would give it to my superior. My superior would know how to better handle the situation and would do it in a kind and curitius way. The reason why I would do this, is because in confucionism, you are supposed to respect your elders and superiors, and follow the laws.
Daoism: if I found a twenty dollar bill, I would take it. It belongs to nature, not one person, so it would be alright to take as long as I don't claim it as my own. However, when someone would need the bill, I would give it back to that person to follow the concept if universal sharing.
Legalism: if I found a twenty dollar bill, I would pick it up and give it to an authority figure. While this is much like confucionism, the reason for giving it back is different. In confucionism, you would give the money back because you are supposed to respect your superiors. However, in legalism, you return the bill because you are rewarded for your good deed. Also, if you do nothing, you will be severely punished for not doning the right thing andreturning it.
Confucianism:
I would give the $20 bill to my superior who in this case would be a teacher. I would do this because your are supposed to respect your superior.
Daoism:
I would keep the $20 bill because that is would I would naturally want to do. Then I would spend it before anyone had a chance to claim it because I would also want to do that.
Legalism:
I would tell an authority that someone dropped money fear of handloss or any other punisment.

Confucianism
If I found A 20$ bill in the hallway I would hand in the bill to either a teacher or a parent. As my superiors, either one of these options would be more experiences than myself. They would know how to go about the situation.
Daoism
In this case I would take the bill because it does not belong specifically to any individual, but to nature itself. But, at the same time, I wouldn't boast over such a finding or obsess over the concept of the money. After all, it is only paper and has only artifical meaning.
Legalism
I would take the bill and return it to someone of higher authority. As Matt said above, for such an action I would be rewarded for "good" behavior.
Confucianism:
if I found a $20 bill in the hallway of the school, while following confucianism I would give it to a superior, it doesn't have to be a teacher. I think it should be your parents actually, because the first people you should respect on the 5 social relationship is your father and mother.
Daoism:
If I was following the Daoism religion and found a $20 bill in the hallway, I would most likely take it, because in Daoism there are no crimes and you should follow your instincts. My instincts would naturaly be to take the money, but because we have rules and a distinct right and wrong I would feel guilty about it. I probably wouldn't be a good Daoist.
Legalism:
My decision for legalism would all depend on if they had a rule on finding and taking things. If there was no rule then I would probably take it, but if there was a rule then I would wait and see if anyone else would take the money, because if I were to report them I would get rewarded. That's the legalism way to all be sneaky finks. No matter what the end result would be the same because somebody would take the $20 bill.
If I was following cunfucianism I probably would return the money to the owner. Just because Confucianism stresses that you should respect your superior doesn't mean i have to give the twenty dollars to them, in any situation no matter what you believe in, the right thing to do is return the money.
If I was following Daoism I would probably just leave the money on the ground. If everything belongs to nature and I'm allowed to take things to use them when I please, what would I need to buy with the money?
If I was a legalist I would also return the money. If I had got caught picking the money off the ground, it would be considered stealing no matter what. Also if i returned the money i would probably get a reward.
Confucianism:
I would pick up the money and give it to an administrator such as the principal or a teacher. This is because I am subordinate to this superior.
Daoism:
I would snatch the moolah in a second. Mama wants a new pair a shoes! This is because it doesn't belong to anyone and I can take whatever i want. I would give it to someone else who needs it if it went unspent.
Legalism:
I would once again take it. This is very similar to my aforementioned action although in terms of legalism i would act a lot more selfishly and completely disregard anyone else's needs.
Confucianism
If i found a 20$ bill in the hall, I'd be like oh yeaaa but then i would bring it too my parents so they can have it. I would do that because Confucianism makes it that your parents are your top superiors and i wouldn't give it to a teacher because thats to tiring.
Daoism
If i saw a 20 bucks on the ground then i would pick it up and return it to the forest "nature" or I'd borrow it as toilet paper. This is because you own nothing in daoism and you share with everyone.
Legalism
I would check the laws and see if theres anything wrong with touching, looking, or anything dealing with a 20$ bill on the ground in a high school building and if theres nothing wrong with it. Money in the bank! or id just use it. There are consequences for any laws that you break like chopping your hands off or if you do something good you get rewarded.
Confucianism
If I followed the lifestyle of Confucianism I would pick up the dolor. Upon doing so two figures popped up on my shoulder and the conversation that ensued was very interesting…
The figure that was shaped like a bikini clad women (symbolizing temtation) said to me,” ohhhhhhhhhhhh, tom look at that money do you know what you could buy with that. As she said that she was smiling in a way that…was hot and stuff. This was a very tempting offer. But there was another figure on my right shoulder who was in the shape of an old wise Chinese man.
“Tom no, think of your teachings, your duty is to your superiors,” said the man. I looked at my tinny dream women and took off with the twenty safely in my pocket. My parents will be thanking their favorite son of the night. This parable is to explain how I would react if I followed Confucianism. I would give the money to my parents who were the superiors.
Daoism: If I followed Daoism… well this one is tricky. There are no rules in this situation. Taking the bill would have no bad consequence, just the same as picking up a shinny rock or a cool French fry. Money means nothing to me in this situation, because I can get whatever I want from other people. But to answer the question I would take it because green is my favorite color.
Legalism: If I was a legalist I would take the money assuming the fact that there was no law against it. If there was a law that said I could not take the cash I would rather cut my …own hands of because that’s what they would do to me anyway. If I saw someone else take the bill and there was a law against this, I would shout for the authorities. Until that came to beat the poor unfortunate person senseless while I reaped the benefits of Legalist rewards.
if a daoist found this 20 dollar bill, then he wud leave it. there is no need for money in a society that shares its resources. without trade there is no currency.
if a legalist found this dollar bill, he would not keep it as justin said, he wud have to return it for fear of punishment. if he returned it then he wud appear to be a rule abiding citizen and be rewarded.
if a confucianist found the dollar bill, he wud return it to one of his superiors so they cud do with it as they see fit. i wud believe that the most superior member around, whether it be teacher or parent, deserved to have it because he is my superior.
Confucianism-
The student would find the twenty dollar bill and would pick it up and would bring it to the nearest person of superior authority and give it to them, most likely a teacher. The student would do this because it would not be their place to keep the twenty dollar bill because the twenty could have belonged to somebody of higher authority. He would not be following the law if he were to keep it.
Daoism-
The student would see the twent and pick it up and probably at first, search for the owner because if he were to take it and use it in any way he pleases, he would first have to find the previous owner. There could also be a chance that he would not even bother to pick up the twenty bucks because in a society, money would be worthless because there is no need for it.
Legalism-
The student would most likely go and take the 20 bucks and give it to anybody associated with the school. This is because by doing this the student would receive a reward for doin this. If the student were to keep it and take something that was not his it would be a form of stealing therefore, the student would be severely punished.
Confucius
I would give the $20 bill to my higher power because every thing that I have belongs to a higher power. Although I would like to take if for myself I have been taught not to
Daoism
If I was a Daoist I would take the money for myself and buy something pointless before anyone got the chance to say anything. America is Daoist. But if by any chance someone asked to use half the dollar or more I would accept because I’m nice. And it would also be the natural rules reaction.
Legalism:
I would take the 20 dollars and place one of my own 20 dollar bills so none would think I stole it. Then I would spend it and stay clear of hand loss
Confucianism
If I were to find a twenty dollar bill I would find my superior and give it to them. That is because in Confucianism I am a subordinate to my teacher, therefore my teacher is superior to me and I should give the money to them.
Daoism:
If i were to find a twenty dollar bill I would keep it for myself. This is because in Daosim there are no rules. Everything belong to nature and there is no ownership, Therefore, if i find twenty dollars on the ground, I can claim it because there are no rules.
Legalism:
If I were to find a twenty dollar bill I would not keep it. In legalism there are few rules, but if you go against those few rules serious consequences emerge & I like living therefore I would give it to someone with higher authority then me to ensure my life..
Confucianism:
If I found a 20 dollar bill, I would give it to an adult in which case is my superior. Either a teacher or parent would know how to handle the situation; I would be performing my duty. The 20 dollar bill would suit more for the community then my own interests. If not handed to a superior, there would be no awareness of good character.
Daoism:
Due to the fact that Daoism has no punishments or crimes, like Sarah A stated, I would take the 20 dollar bill. I would be excited that I made a new profit considering the money belongs to nature and not one specific person.
Legalism:
I would give the money also to a superior. If someone had found out that the money was there, I would be afraid to get in trouble for not taking action and returning the money to its rightful owner.
Confucianism
If a student who followed Confucianism found a twenty dollar bill in the hallway he should give it to a person in a superior position then himself. This is because a subordinate is to be loyal and obediant according to Confucianism. Not only that but he would be doing his duty.
Daoism
If the student followed Daoism, he could do many things. For example he could take it and use it for his needs until he no longer has use for it. What he has left would be placed at the same or near spot where he found the twenty. This is because if he takes it for himself it would show ownership which could resolve in a conflict with him and another person in the future. He could also ignore it because the less you do, order will resolve; the more you do, the messier it gets.
Legalism
As a legalism follower the student would be obligated to give it to the leader. I mean obligated mentally because for not following rules could result in severe punishment. But, once returned you'll be awarded which promotes you to continue on doing the same thing, even reporting others who disobey rules.
Confucianism
I would give the $20 to my higher up and then he would do as he saw fit. This is because Confucianism deals with someone being a superior to you and you will always be insubordinate.
Daoism
I would not take the money because I do not need it. I might take it and if one of my friends needs it i can loan it to them until they return it to nature but essentially what Justin was saying in class is that it would not exist because nothing costs money, since everything belongs to nature and their are no rules of ownership, what we want, we take.
Legalism
I'd probably run away because it's all a trap by the ruler who is much feared to see if anyone tries to take it and then if they dont tell anyone, they will be executed. Matt Hoey would say the punishment does not fit the crime but to the ruler, WHO CARES?? This is because Legalism believes in a sense that the ruler/king is either feared by it's country's citizens or loved by them.
Confucianism
I would probably give the twenty dollar bill to the person who is superior to me because he wiser and know better than I do.
Daoism
Twenty dollars means nothing to me for it belongs to nature and i am sure someone needs the money more than me anyway.
Legalism
When finding the twenty dollar bill immediately turn it over to the lost and found before any sees me and thinks I am keeping it for myself for I so not want punishment.
confucianism
give it to your superior. since a subordinate is supposed to be good to his superior, youd give it to them. your superior would then be a good role model and return it to whoever owned it
taoism
you would leave it. it serves no purpose. money is an artificial construct (thats evil) wouldnt exist in taoist society
legalism
id return it so my authority figure wouldnt cut an essential body part.
Matt Hoey
Confucianism:
I would give the $20 to my superior because you are supposed to respect your superior and give him your loyalty.
Daoism:
In Daoism, i would probobly not even notice the $20 because i would just see it as a dumb random piece of paper, IF i even noticed it.
Legalism:
In Legalism, i would pick up the $20 dollars to go give to my king/emporer so i would not be severely and harshly punished.
sorry this is late mr. yip, ive been sick all weekend.
Confucianism
If i found twenty dollars on the ground, and i lived in a Confucian society, then the only thing to do would be to ask a superior for guidance. I don't think it would necessarily mean to give it to your superior, because while they do have complete power to tell you what to do, your belongings arent theirs.
Daoism
In a daoist society, money wouldn't exist. Neither would the internet. Or rules. Or school. Or writing or blogs. or keyboards. or monitors. or fragmented sentences.or other fake things.
Legalism
In a legalist society, If i saw twenty dollars, i would be so terrified that someone would catch me eyeing it, or picking it up, or doing ANYRHING involving it, that i would casually turn around and walk the other way. Even if you picked it up, and were bringing it to an authority figure, you BETTER be able to prove it. If you cant, then say hello to Dr.Law Enforcement, and his brother, Mr. Unnecessarily Harsh Punishment.
Edward Cummins
I gave you this on paper instead of the blog because my computer wasn't working before.
Confucianism
if i found a twenty dollar bill in the hallway i would give it to my superior. probably the closest teacher.
Daoism
if i saw a twenty dollar bill in the hallway it would be nothing more then a peace of paper to me because it would have no monetary value. if i needed it to write on or another use i could pick it up.
Legalism
if i found a twenty dollar bill on the floor i would turn it into an authority figure.
