Tell me what you know about ancient Greece. Think about their contributions and accomplishments. What do you know about them, if any? Go ahead and talk about the movie 300 if that is all you know.

The only things that I know about Ancient Greece is that they were the first civilization with a personified god(in the shape of a human) and that they were very big on myths and stories. They were very fierce fighters like in 300, and they were greatly involved in the Battle of Troy. That is waht I know about Ancient Greece.

I don't know much about Greece, however what I do know is that they had religious views, and worshiped god(s). In english we read a greek myth and a greek play, and in both they showed religious views, therefore showing Greece has religious leaders. I also know they have their own language, well at least today there is a Greek Language. They also have a different alphabet.
All I know about Greece is the knowledge I have learned in English right now. Things that we're learning and I know is like the Gods and other myths like that. I know that Gods were very important to the Greek people because they did things like sacrifice animal parts and praying to them, things like that.I also know other things from 300 because I have seen that movie. I know how the Spartans put up a good fight against the Persains. I don't know how historically acurate 300 is, but there is alot of information in that movie about accient Greece in that movie.
i know that greece is the first civilization with truly western ideas like democracy, the column and other stuff like that. They were freedom lovers, as shown in 300 when they fought for their freedom against Persia. Alexander the great the also conquered they known world in the 400bc’s. They were also really religious and wrote stories that we are still talking about today. All frats are also named after greek letters and do greek stuff like have toga parties and drink a lot. Proving that greek traditions still stand today and that they had a deep cultural impact.
I don't know much about acient greece, but I do know knnow that they were strong believers in the gods and mythology.
Greece is a fascinating place that i really don't know anything about. I do know that they were very religious and believed in human like gods. They were big in warfare too. At least I think so.
Grease is one of those empires where a king sits on his throne watching people kill each other for his favor as barley dressed women feed him grapes off the vine and bow to his every whim. I’m a movie person and this information is what I gathered from the movie Gladiator. I’m pretty shore Grease was ruled by Creaser at one point, and was one of the largest empires that existed in that time. The king was ruthlessly cruel to his people and was overthrown. That’s all I really know for now.

I like all the movies and myths of greece, and greece seems like a strong society with tough warriors and independent cities. The movie 300 really fascinated me because the spartan warriors faught against the persian empire and wouldn't bow down to anyone. This really shows how dedicated the warriors were to their country.

I know in 300, Greece fights greatly. They have great warriors and they definately put up a fight. I believe that Greeks had a great faith on gods and mythology. All I know for Ancient Greece is what I learned basically from the mythology book but I know also that they were the first civilization to personify gods.

All I know about Greece in from English class. I know that they were the first civilization with gods in a human form. The gods were hades, hephestus, Hera, Zeus, Apollo, artemis, ares, posiden, hestia, Hermes, Athena, Aphrodite. Hades-god of underworld. Hephestus- god of fire. Hera- god of marriage. Zeus-god of sky. Apollo- archery poetry. Artemis- huntress. Ares-god of war. Posidon- god of the ocean. Hestia- god of hearth. Hermes- messenger god. Apherdite-god of love. Athena - civilized life. The myths they made explained thing they couldn't. They were the closest to finding the circumfernce of the earth before modern time.

I do not know much about Ancient Greece. What I do know however is that the early peoples of Greece had strong religious beliefs. Their lives were based upon their religion. Many of their beliefs were recorded in the form of "myths." The Greeks developed their own alphabet over time. This shows that they were most likely advanced. Many of this knowledge comes from my English class.

I don't know a lot about Ancient Greece, but what I do know is that Ancient Greece had many temples with its own special architecture. Greek columns with ornate designs are seen even in buildings today. The temples show that religion was important to the society. The Greeks were active in theatre and also loved athletic competitions as in Olympic type events.
I know a few things about Greece like their culture and society. They were a firm believer in the gods. They used them to explain about the many wonders of the world such as the sea, the sky, the afterlife. I think there were many wars in their civilization. like the Trojan war and the 300 spartans that fought bravely against the one million Persian soldiers.
Before:
The only things I know about Greece was that they were very involved with war like the Trojan War and the many wars from the movie 300. They were very influenced by gods, I know this because my English class has been reading the Odyssey. They were very involved with gods probably more so then other cultures because the gods so closely resemble humans.
What i know about greece is all of their gods and mythology, zeus, poseidon, hades, and others. I believe there were different city states such as sparta, athens, troy, and thebes. I know about the battle of thermopalae and the trojan war. I believe they developed democracy as well.
Greece was a very complex culture, who beleieved in 12 gods. Zeus, Athena, Hera, Hestia, Ares, Posideon, Artimus, Hermes, Apollo, Hades, Aphrodite, hepheasteus. They believed that nothing was possible and couldnt happen without the gods, and those who did not believe this were punished by them. In Mr. Griffins class, we read Greek Mythology, and The Odyssey. Mythology was a big part of their culture, and was unique to others of their time (for instance Egypt), because they personified their gods in their own images, other than in mythical creatures. They made stories, sometimes in comical styles about the gods, that explained natural things about the world that they couldnt explain, such as the change in seasons.
I know that greece's god were more humanlike then other gods which were more animal like at the time. And i also know that they wear togas which are awesome. They are crazingly jacked and fierce warriors in the movie 300 and can take a hit definatly.
i know a lot about greek myth from reading books about the Gods and heros. i know that they are one of the 1st european civilizations. the had a succesion of leaders that would conquer surrounding areas. they spoke the latin language and their philosophers were the first of any civilation. they fought against troy and defeated them via the trojan horse. one of the largest cities in greece is Athens named after the god of wisdom Athena. in greece they started the Olympics.

Greeks had a polytheistic religion, with humanized gods (thank you Mr. Griffins class), The Battle of Thermopile (spelling?) was between 300 Spartans and the persians, and the Latin Alphabet is based off of the greek one. They were also talented sailors, as they developed a close relationship with the sea.
